Honeypot is a UK charity dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of young carers and very vulnerable children aged 5-12.
We provide respite breaks at Honeypot House in the New Forest and a long term programme of support for over 1000 children a year. Alongside respite breaks, children benefit from visits to our travelling double-decker playbus, Birthday cards, Christmas gifts and photographs of their time with us.
The majority of children we care for are living the life of an adult from as young as 5.
They may be the primary carer in their household, looking after a sibling or parent with a physical or mental illness or disability. They often have to juggle housework and their caring role alongside going to school, leaving little time for them to relax or play with friends. They can sometimes be bullied in school, and often their best friend is the person they care for, rather than a school friend.
Honeypot provides a release for these children; through Honeypot, they can make new friends, enjoy a wide range of both indoor and outdoor activities to support their learning and development, and simply enjoy being a child.
Honeypot receives little government funding; we rely heavily on voluntary donations to fund our services. We would be so grateful for your support through our partnership with Hawes & Curtis; just purchasing one item will give a valuable contribution towards our work. Plus, if you purchase any three of the available products, you will ensure that a Honeypot child gets a gift this Christmas.
