How To Care For Non-Iron Stretch Shirts
Having spent over 100 years making shirts for royalty and businessmen alike, we’ve learnt a thing or two about crafting shirts that men love to wear every day. Our latest collection of non-iron stretch shirts is contemporary, sharp and innovative: designed to fit perfectly and comfortably without having to be ironed. We know your time is precious, so here’s how simple it is to care for our newest fuss-free shirts.
Top Tips Before Washing
Our top tip is to remove the collar stiffeners before washing as leaving them in can warp the collar’s shape. We also recommend unbuttoning all buttons including cuff and collar buttons, this is because leaving clothes buttoned can loosen the threads around the buttonholes and stretch them out. Finally, pre-treat any stains by carefully spraying a little stain remover or detergent into them. Never use bleach on your shirt as this will damage the fabric.
Wash It
For best results, and to maximise the longevity of your shirt, we recommend laundering your non-iron stretch shirt at 30 degrees. A lower temperature will also help the shirt’s fabric retain its colour for longer. And always separate white shirts from dark colours - discoloured white shirts are never a fashion statement.
Hang It
After washing, shake the shirt off and allow it to air dry. Thanks to the non-iron finish, there’s no need for the tumble dryer, either. Tumble drying cotton shirts will shrink the fabric and shorten their life cycle. We recommend using treated wooden hangers as they reduces the stress on the fabric and seams around the shoulders. Make sure there's some space between the shirts in your wardrobe to avoid any damage from friction.
Wear It
Spend that extra time you saved from not having to iron by doing something more productive - some push ups, perhaps?
