Student Design Competition 2015
We are pleased to announce that Hawes & Curtis’ annual student design competition is in full swing! The popular competition, which has been running since 2011, gives up and coming talent the opportunity to promote their work in a very competitive industry.
Students from Nottingham Trent University and Leeds College of Art are given a different brief each year and are expected to research the Hawes & Curtis brand along with our customer base. This year students were asked to design a capsule collection which demonstrates an awareness of style, commerciality and production viability. Winners will be offered the opportunity to complete a work placement at our head office in London and their shirts will be put into production.
Entries have been flooding in and the final judging will get underway this month, with designs going into production for the AW15 collection. The standard this year has been exceptionally high, demonstrating that young designers in Britain are going from strength to strength. Here is an exclusive look at the finalists’ designs.
