To celebrate the opening of our new Glasgow store on Buchanan Street, the H&C Times asked our Glasgow team to share their favourite places in this beautiful city. 

Visit

Pollok Country Park, with its stunning scenery and beautiful walks, is a must-see when visiting Glasgow. Glasgow’s largest park boasts extensive woodlands, riverside walks, scenic gardens and Highland cattle. Pollok Park was voted Europe’s Best Park in 2008 and it is home to the grand Pollok House, one of the city’s most elegant country manors. The house contains an outstanding collection of Spanish art.

For a fun, educational day out, head to the multi award winning Riverside Museum, which is home to some of the finest cars, ship models, trams and locomotives. Designed by architect Zaha Hadid, the museum is beautifully curated to tell the story of Glasgow’s rich transport history, from its days as a maritime powerhouse through to the mid-20^th century. With interactive displays, this is a great museum for all ages to visit.

Buchanan Street – also known as the Style Mile - is Scotland’s premier shopping street. This pedestrian boulevard is lined with architectural gems, independent boutiques and international designer brands. Make sure you pop into our new Glasgow store on Buchanan Street where you’ll discover our stylish menswear and womenswear collections.

If you’re searching for diamonds, wedding rings or luxurious watches, head to the Argyll Arcade which offers the biggest selection of jewellers in Scotland under one roof. Eat & Drink

If you want to sample some of Scotland’s best produce, book a table at The Anchor Line. Set in a restored grade A listed building on St Vincent Place, the restaurant’s specialities include fresh oysters, lobsters and scallops and the finest scotch beef and ribs. The steak is highly recommended! There’s also an extensive cocktail list with classics as well as signature twists.

Established in 1935, Rogano has a unique 1930s ambience and Art Deco style. It is the oldest surviving restaurant in Glasgow and serves the finest fish and seafood from the Scottish seas. This stylish restaurant is popular with local clientele and is very welcoming.
