An Insider’s Guide to Glasgow
To celebrate the opening of our new Glasgow store on Buchanan Street, the H&C Times asked our Glasgow team to share their favourite places in this beautiful city.
Visit
Pollok Country Park, with its stunning scenery and beautiful walks, is a must-see when visiting Glasgow. Glasgow’s largest park boasts extensive woodlands, riverside walks, scenic gardens and Highland cattle. Pollok Park was voted Europe’s Best Park in 2008 and it is home to the grand Pollok House, one of the city’s most elegant country manors. The house contains an outstanding collection of Spanish art.
For a fun, educational day out, head to the multi award winning Riverside Museum, which is home to some of the finest cars, ship models, trams and locomotives. Designed by architect Zaha Hadid, the museum is beautifully curated to tell the story of Glasgow’s rich transport history, from its days as a maritime powerhouse through to the mid-20th century. With interactive displays, this is a great museum for all ages to visit.
