Menswear Spring 2015 Shows, London
London men’s fashion week being a relatively young venture, many London-based labels that used to present in Milan now show in London, making London very exciting men’s fashion venue. We are happy to say on the whole the trend is still on for suiting, as demonstrated by Burberry Prorsum, Jill Sander, Ermenegildo Zegna, Margaret Howell, Pringle of Scotland, Gucci and many others. Here is our take at some memorable London shows.
No looking back
Alexander McQueen’s collection showed bold patterns of colour on seemingly traditional suiting that in reality was deconstructed wardrobe consisting of short and full-length coats, bomber jackets, cigarette trousers, shorts and culottes.
Summer colours
50s lapels, pin stripe suits with a twist and colourful t-shirts in daring shades of royal blue, tangerine and lime took over Christopher Kane’s runway for next summer.
What is next?
Fashion press’s darling KTZ showed collection inspired by ancient Greece with modern urban warrior appeal and sensation of sportswear gone costume party.
