How To Find The Perfect White Shirt
Every gentleman needs a beautifully tailored white shirt. Discover our top tips to find the perfect one.
The fit of a shirt says a lot about its wearer and it can also have an impact on your overall look. Fits reflect fashion trends, but regardless of whether you are trend led or not, it is important to choose the fit you feel confident and comfortable in. As a general rule, a well-fitting shirt should skim your body without creating excess fabric around the waist. Here are our four exceedingly flattering fits:
Extra Slim Fit The Extra Slim Fit is our most contemporary, fitted shirt. It is very closely cut to the body, creating a streamlined silhouette.
Slim Fit The Slim Fit is our most regular and flattering fit. It is gently tapered across the waist and chest, creating a relaxed yet defined silhouette.
Tailored Fit The Tailored Fit effortlessly combines style with comfort. This medium fitting shirt has a generous cut and is slightly tapered at the waist.
Classic Fit Our Classic Fit shirts are designed with a relaxed, traditional fit. To ensure maximum comfort, they are generously cut across the waist, creating a straight silhouette.
2. Quality Is Key
It is worth investing in high quality shirts made from 100% natural fibres such as pure cotton. Not only will they last longer than shirts made from inferior quality fabric, they also feel significantly softer and are more comfortable to wear.
Cotton fabric tends to be either 1 ply or 2 ply (such as 2 ply 100s cotton). ‘2 ply’ refers to the number of threads that have been twisted together to make a single thread. 2 ply fabrics create sturdier, higher quality garments than 1 ply fabrics.
The numbers you see on shirt fabrics, (100s or 140s for example), refer to the length of the yarn. A higher thread count means a finer yarn which creates a smoother, more expensive fabric. All our Formal shirts have been crafted from the finest 2 ply 100s cotton which has been perfected with a silk touch finish.
3. Select Your Favourite Weave
Our Formal shirts are crafted from the purest, most luxurious cotton. But it’s how the cotton is woven that makes each shirt special.
4. Choose from a selection of elegant collar and cuff options
