World Cup
The last team has now been drawn for the 2014 World Cup office sweepstake and we are all eagerly awaiting for it to kick-off tonight (Thursday, June 12) with Brazil v Croatia.
England will play their first game on Saturday (June 14) against Italy. They are in Group D and will go on to face Uruguay and Costa Rica on June 19 and June 24 respectively. If England makes it through the group stages they will play the winner or runner-up of Group C which consists of Colombia, Ivory Coast, Japan and Greece.
Thinking too far ahead may end in heartbreak, as any England fan post 1966 is all too familiar with, but should we make it through to the quarter-finals we will play one of the teams to emerge from either Group A (Brazil, Croatia, Mexico and Cameroon) or Group B (Spain, Netherlands, Chile and Australia).
And while we’re all still full of hope we may as well go as far as looking at the semi-finals…
IF England makes it that far this will be the point in the tournament when they play a team from the other side of the draw. Favourites to make it through to this stage are France, Argentina, Germany, Portugal and Belgium.
The final will be played in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, July 13 at 8pm (BST) but we won’t get too far ahead of ourselves.
If you’re keen to show your colours to support the boys, but wearing a replica shirt to the office will be frowned upon, why not brighten up your working wardrobe with some of our accessories?
Our St George’s Flag cufflinks are the perfect subtle addition to a double cuff shirt, allowing you to show your pride on your sleeve.
The players may have three lions on their shirt, but you can adorn your suit jacket with a stylish silver lion lapel pin which is bound to spark some interest.
And finally a red and white checked 100% silk tie will complete your look.
Come on England…anything but penalties please!
