"Chinos" actually developed from military wear in the nineteenth century. The British and French armies started crafting uniforms out of chino cloth because the twill fabric was both durable and comfortable to wear. The cloth migrated to civilian wear in the 20th century, most commonly in the form of trousers which ended up taking on the name of the cloth. They became popular as part of the "preppy" look and today are used as comfortable smart casual wear, particularly as both shorts and long trousers.

 

Our chino shorts are perfect when you are off duty on a warm day outside or around the house. We make them from the most luxurious cotton for a pair of men's shorts that are both durable and comfortable. Our chinos are made of ninety seven percent cotton and three percent elastane to give added flexibility in fit.

 

Our men's chino shorts come in a variety of both bright and subtle colors that you can mix and match with your casual shirts. They are also garment dyed, which creates a softer texture, prevents the colors from running and further prevents shrinkage in the wash. Our chinos include two side pockets and two back pockets. They are fastened with a zipper and button top. They go well with t-shirts for a relaxed look or polo shirts for a smart casual look.
